Good health is crucial to quality of life, personal and professional success. It is generally thought that healthy people don't need a health screen but the reality is that many common illnesses and conditions can be prevented or cured if they are caught early enough - in most cases this may be before any symptoms become apparent.

Our Executive Medical programme at 'The Well' is designed to identify any existing health problems, assess your disease risk factors and to provide you with the tools and recommendations to achieve a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

'The Well' Executive Medical includes a very comprehensive range of tests geared towards the primary prevention of disease with an emphasis on the requirements of both our male and female visitors. We have taken a particularly holistic approach towards wellness with a focus on stress management and lifestyle changes. All results are available and explained in detail on the day of the medical, including all blood results.

A full and complete written report and interpretation of results with advice about behavioural and lifestyle modification will be sent to you within five working days on completion of the medical. A copy of the report can be sent to your GP at your request.

There is also the option to complete an elite cardiovascular assessment (based on clinical indication) which includes the latest state of the art 16-slice CT scan that provides direct visualisation of the coronary arteries to detect signs of heart disease. This is the only such scanner of its kind in Ireland. Each scan is complete in 11 seconds and provides exceptional image quality. A range of additional diagnostic services are also available.

Also available are a range of lifestyle programmes which you may wish to choose from based on those areas that may be of particular interest to you or which you may be recommended to complete following your medical. These programmes include a 'Be Well' Weight and Lifestyle Management Programme and a 'Sleep Well' programme to uncover the causes of disturbances in sleep patterns, excessive sleepiness or loud snoring.

The Well is an approved Quinn HealthCare centre for Executive Medicals. Health Manager members can claim 50% of the cost of the medical back from Quinn HealthCare.  Up to 41% of the cost of the medical can also be claimed back against personal taxes at the end of the year.
